Glenny is an interior designer from America. We are glad that we had an interview with her. Here’re some of her insights and thoughts.
Could you tell us a bit about your journey into interior design? What inspired you to pursue this career?
I have always loved traveling and learning about the cultures of other countries, as well as their unique architecture and design. I am particularly intrigued by the various types of architecture in different places, and I believe that each of us has our own distinct style.
How do you stay inspired and keep your creativity flowing in such a dynamic field?
I find that I am most creative in the morning, so I like to spend this time browsing Pinterest and design books for inspiration. I also love visiting new places, where I take the time to really observe the design details and absorb everything I see.
Could you share some of the key challenges you face in your work, and how you overcome them?
Key challenge is finding new customers to share my creative gift with!
How has technology, particularly tools like Coohom, impacted your design process?
I love Coohom. It has had a very positive impact on my work because, even when I struggle to express my ideas, Coohom allows me to bring them to life and give them meaning.
What advice would you give to aspiring interior designers who are just starting out?
Trust yourself and your architectural style to enhance your potential and make it known. I recommend not focusing solely on media; instead, explore architecture books, which often provide deeper insights and techniques.
Could you describe a project where Coohom significantly enhanced your workflow or design outcome?
As I mentioned, I feel great using Coohom because it helps me better understand the customer’s desires and bring them to life through 3D design.
What trends in interior design are you currently excited about, and how do you incorporate them into your work?
Color!
How do you balance aesthetics and functionality in your designs?
I make an effort to understand the customer’s desires by asking in-depth questions about their tastes, specific requests, color preferences, and particular styles.
